New Chair Named for Rowan College at Burlington County Foundation Board
The new chair is the son of one of the college's founders.

Tony Mahon is the new chair of the Rowan College at Burlington County Foundation board, the college announced this week.
Mahon has a special connection to the college. His father, the late Bruce A. Mahon, was instrumental in founding Rowan College at Burlington County as a Burlington County Freeholder.
The Springfield Township resident has served on the RCBC Foundation for six years. He is president of Assured Partners of New Jersey/AJM Insurance and serves in leadership capacities of several nonprofit organizations including board director of the Philly POPS and Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development (MEND).

“Rowan College at Burlington County holds a special place in my heart and I have been privileged to work with incredibly talented board members, staff, faculty, and especially students,” Mahon said. “Rowan College at Burlington County is transforming into a national model of higher education and our new Executive Director Anika Ragins-Riley and leadership team can match the same dynamic energy that President Drayton has brought to the college.”
He was elected to the role as part of a new leadership team at the college.

“With our premier partnership, Rowan College at Burlington County has become a national leader in high-quality and affordable education, most notably our path to a Rowan University bachelor’s degree that will cost as little as $25,000,” Rowan College at Burlington County President Paul Drayton, who serves as the Foundation Board’s secretary, said. “The Foundation’s work is more important than ever as we strive to remove all financial obstacles that stand in the way of students achieving their educational and career goals.”
Joining Mahon and Drayton on the Executive Committee are:
- Vice Chair Henry Gosik, president and CEO of Sensational Host.
- Vice Chair Danielle Lucas, manager of Global Talent, Acquisition and Management at ARI.
- Treasurer Richard W. Bell, president of Planning Capital Management.
- Trusteeship Committee Chair Joe Tredinnick, regional vice president of TD Bank.
- Anika Ragins-Riley, Executive Director of the Foundation.
“The new leadership team at the Foundation features dedicated members of the community who will use their collective talents to benefit students,” Drayton said.
Priorities for the Foundation this year include expanding the pool of donors, exploring ways to increase financial support of students seeking to begin college while still in high school and generating support of the college’s transition to the Mount Laurel campus, which includes a landmark new student success center at the entrance of the campus.
“The RCBC Foundation is a strategic partner to help the college become the model of 21stcentury higher education without increasing the burden on students,” Anika Ragins-Riley, Executive Director of the Foundation, said. “We help students every day and always appreciate support from community members looking to help students transform their lives at Rowan College at Burlington County.”
