NJ Couple Disappears After Long, Mysterious Drive Across State
A couple was missing this weekend after going on a long, mysterious drive across NJ. There were possible sightings throughout the state.

A couple was missing this weekend after going on a drive in New Jersey and after possible sightings throughout the state, police said.
Police say they were attempting to locate Artice Mooney and Shirley Mooney this weekend after 8 a.m. on Saturday after they were supposed to drive to Trenton to attend a conference.
While driving to Trenton, the couple lost their way and ended up in Hopatcong. The couple made contact with a police officer in Hopatcong who assisted them with directions back to Lumberton, police said.

After several checks at the couple's residence, police discovered they did not return home.
The couple was operating a 2015 white Kia, with New Jersey registration HX8499, which was last seen in Newark at 2 a.m. on Sunday.

The Mooneys have been entered into the missing person data base, police said.
Anyone who may have had contact with the couple or have knowledge of their location is asked to contact the Lumberton Police Department at (609) 267-8300.
