Are NJ's Best Chicken Wings At A South Jersey Dive Bar? 1 Report Says So

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Move over Louisville, Kentucky, and Gainesville, Georgia. Because Cinnaminson may have an outside claim as the nation's chicken capital.

Perhaps that's presumptuous. But in recent weeks, several media outlets have hyped Cinnaminson eateries as some of the best, if not the best, chicken joints in New Jersey. WPG Talk Radio's Chris Coleman wrote last weekend that The Jug Handle Inn has the state's top chicken wings.

Well-known to locals, The Jug Handle Inn has operated since 1980, but the building has stood since 1912. But the nondescript dive bar on Forklanding Road isn't a household name in New Jersey's culinary scene.

"Locals absolutely love this place and it's packed all the time and for good reason: this bar might just have the best chicken wings in the entire state," Coleman wrote.

This marks at least the second time in recent weeks in which a media outlet claims Cinnaminson has some of New Jersey's top chicken. In March, Only In Your State said that a township truck stop, of all places, had some of the Garden State's best fried chicken: the Krispy Krunchy Chicken inside 130 Truck Stop.
