Online Safety Subject Of Presentation At Cinnaminson High School

The program will take place at the high school auditorium on April 4.

CINNAMINSON, NJ - A presentation detailing how to stay safe online will take place in the Cinnaminson High School auditorium on Thursday, April 4, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All parents, residents and children in grades 6 and up are invited to attend this free presentation.

Speaker Richard Guerry has written multiple cyber safety books and has been a featured speaker at numerous national and international conferences. He has also appeared as an expert on Radio Disney, CNN, Fox, CBS and MTV’s Thin Line Campaign, in Parade magazine and many local, regional and national publications.

Attendees will learn about:
  • How to prevent cyber bullying;
  • Safe communication in gaming;
  • PC and mobile security;
  • Public databases and digital transparency;
  • Preventing abuse of current and future apps;
  • Poor social media and oversharing behaviors; and
  • Many other current and future cyber issues.

The multi-award winning program will eliminate myths that anonymity, social privacy and disappearing digital content is possible with digital tools and apps.

The audience will learn about responsible use of digital tools as well as the wisdom to prevent negative, irresponsible and malicious digital behaviors and trends.

The program has won the School Safety Advocacy Council’s Exemplary School Safety Program Award, Exemplary School Safety Initiative Award and the National Anti-Bullying Award.
