Palmyra Man Among 4 Charged in Doylestown Home Burglaries

A Palmyra resident is among four men who were Delaware Valley University students when they were charged with burglary last month in Doylestown Borough, school officials confirmed Wednesday.

Cameron Wallace, 19, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property in connection with three forced-entry residential burglaries.

The other three students who were charged include David Wesley Boyd Jr., 18, Wilmington, DE; Tymere Deshield, 18, Hainesport, NJ; and Joseph Ta’rr Monway, 19, Philadelphia.

Three of the men are no longer DelVal students, DelVal spokeswoman Annmarie Ely said in an email.

Dr. April Vari, vice president for student affairs at the University released the following statement about the allegations:

“DelVal is aware of the allegations. The University has in the past and continues to cooperate with local police in investigations. Students and organizations are expected to obey all federal, state, and local laws. Any violation of such laws, which affects the University or community is also a violation of the Code of Conduct. Theft or damage to University property or the property of others, as well as any attempt to steal or damage such property is not tolerated. When the University becomes aware of serious misconduct or disruptive behavior that is incompatible with DelVal’s standards, cases are reviewed under our conduct system and may, based upon review and circumstances, result in sanctions up to and including suspension from the University. The University’s expectations for student conduct are designed to create an environment that supports academic and personal success and that fosters respect and concern for people, ideas, property and community. DelVal has a wonderful student body and this behavior does not reflect the vast majority of our students.”

According to information from Central Bucks Regional Police, the four suspects targeted the following locations: 600 block of Stryker Avenue; 700 block of Stryker Avenue; and the double-digit block of Belmont Square.

Additionally, local police believe the men may be connected with additional burglaries. Police told The Intelligencer they are investigating their connection to seven additional local burglaries.
