Paper Shredding Event In Burlington County Set For April 28
The free event is at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex in Florence.
Burlington County residents will once again have an opportunity to recycle their confidential documents at the next free paper shredding event on Sunday, April 28, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex in Florence. The event may end early if shredding trucks become full.
“The Freeholder Board is pleased to offer this great county service to our residents,” Burlington County Freeholder Director Tom Pullion said. “We would like to thank the many residents who participated in the successful March event that resulted in a record-breaking turnout.”
Confidential documents accepted for on-site shredding include bank and credit card statements, tax returns, and papers with account numbers or social security numbers. Already-shredded paper will also be accepted.

Binders, plastic folders, computer disks, plastic credit cards, magazines and junk mail will not be accepted. Non-confidential material will be returned to residents.
There will be a limit of four bags or boxes per car. Residents exceeding this limit will be asked to hold excess papers until the next event. Volunteers will be on hand to unload confidential files while residents remain in their cars.
