Partial Solution To Cinnaminson's Trash Collection Woes Found
Trash collection is a "huge problem" in Cinnaminson, the township administrator said.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — Cinnaminson has modified its trash collection schedule, saying it may help alleviate some of the trash collection delays that have plagued the township.
Trash collection in Cinnaminson "is a huge problem," Township Administrator Eric J. Schubiger said at the June 27 Cinnaminson Township Committee meeting.
Previously, township trash collector Republic Services would only collect bulk items once a month, he said. Now, it will do so once a week, he said.

The additional trash collection days should "help [Republic Services] with the staffing issues that they currently have and the equipment issues that they currently have," Schubiger said.
"They've shown us some data that shows us that this should be an improvement for the township," he said.

The increase in trash collections is at "no additional no cost at the township," he added.
Additional solutions to the township's trash collection woes must be found, Schubiger continued.
"We're going to continue to monitor this and make sure that [Republic Services] honors their contract," he said.
