Patch Fall Festival Guide: What's Happening In Burlington County?

Looking for a fun activity as fall gets underway? Here are some low-cost options in and around Burlington County.

As summer wraps up and schools starts up again, fun is relegated back to the weekend. Luckily, there's a number of fun, low-cost options for families come up in Burlington County. Take a look and see if there's something your family will enjoy:

Jeeps in the Vineyard: To celebrate the 10th year of Jeeps in the Vineyard and the 1st year of the event being hosted by Garden State Jeeps, we will be entering 500 jeeps into the show, which is set for Saturday, Nov. 10, 9 a.m. at Valenzano Winery in Shamong. Each registrant will receive a free event T-shirt from GSJ and a complimentary wine tasting glass from Valenzano Winery. To participate in the show all registrants must be parked in their designated class location by 11am, judging will begin at 11:30. There will be trophies awarded for all the classes. Registration fees are non transferable and non refundable. Any one who arrives after 11am will be expected to park in the spectator lot and pay for spectator parking.

Bordentown RiverFest: One of New Jersey’s largest fall festivals is set for Saturday, Oct. 20, noon to 10 p.m. at Bordentown City Beach, 100 West Park Street in Bordentown. It’s a four-acre beer garden with nine beers on tap, 15 restaurants, live bands and more.

Kirby’s Mill Apple Festival: Apples are returning again in October to Kirby’s Mill in Medford on Saturday, Oct. 13, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 100 Craft Booths, Food, Demonstrations, Music, Children's Activities. Apple Products, Apple Cider, Cider Donuts and much more.

Cranberry Festival 2018: Started in 1989 by life long Bordentown City resident and co-founder of the Downtown Bordentown Association, Jackie Reed's inaugual Cranberry Fest started modestly enough with 12 crafters nestled onto one block of Walnut Street. Guided by Jackie's vision and leadership the festival quickly grew to include all of the Farnsworth Ave. business district and became one of the area's largest juried arts and crafts shows with over 150 crafters, artists and vendors, and 40,000 visitors annually. This year’s event is set for Oct. 6 and 7.

K-9 Car Show and Fundraiser: The 11th annual event is set for Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Burlington City. Proceeds benefit the Burlington City Police K-9 unit, and 80+ trophies will be awarded.

Lumberton’s Fall Festival and Paddle: The Fall Festival combines the best of the Lumberton Community Fun Day celebration and the Lumberton Paddle to provide an outdoor extravaganza at the Lumberton Village Green and on the Rancocas Creek. It is set for Saturday, Sept. 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Autumn With The Animals: Autumn with the Animals is a much-anticipated fall family tradition in Southern New Jersey. Children and adults of all ages enjoy our wildlife programs, live music, nature hikes, child friendly games, crafts, food and fun! We look upon this day as a way for our members and friends to reconnect with each other and the environment. This year’s event is set for Sunday, Sept. 16, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford.

WineFest 2018: New Jersey’s most attended and longest continuously running wine & music festival is scheduled for another year of great wine, the best south Jersey bands, and unlimited selection of food trucks and dining options. Limited advanced tickets will be sold to this year’s event in order to control the crowds. It is set for Sept. 15 and 16 at Valenzano Winery in Shamong.

Oktoberfest and Music Festival: The Medford Business Association’s annual event is set for Saturday, Sept. 15, at Freedom Park on Union Street, noon to 7 p.m.

Fall Harvest Festival: Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford throws a party every weekend in September and October. Their Harvest Festivals create a Country Fair Atmosphere for your family to enjoy. They will have live music, Gem Mining Adventure, Corn maze, Animal farm and Discovery Barn Yard and the Farm House Food Tent will be cooking up all of your favorites. Inside the market there are Cider Donuts, Pumpkin Pies, 5 kinds of Apple pies, Apple bread, cookies, lots of local apples, Caramel apples and Fresh Cider.
