Playoff Matchups Set for Cinnaminson Boys, Girls Basketball Teams
The first round games will be played as a doubleheader on March 1.

Cinnaminson, NJ -- The road to the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 girls basketball championship goes through Cinnaminson.
Both the boys and girls basketball teams learned their playoff positions on Thursday, and the girls were the top seed in the 16-team playoff field, according to nj.com. The Pirates (17-5) will host No. 16 Buena (4-13) in the first round.
The boys (12-5) were the No. 5 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 boys basketball tournament, and will host No. 12 Cedar Creek (8-8) in the first round.

Cinnaminson’s first round games will be played on March 1 as part of a boys-girls doubleheader. The girls play first at 5 p.m., followed by the boys at 7 p.m.
The Pirates lost three in a row earlier this season, and had lost two in a row as of Thursday afternoon. In between, Cinnaminson reeled off 11 straight wins.

The Pirates have seven games left before the playoffs begin, including five straight on the road, at Bordentown, Pemberton, Holy Cross, Burlington Township and Haddon Township. The regular season ends at Rancocas Valley on Feb. 25. The regular season home finale is Feb. 23 against Willingboro.
Buena has losing streaks of five and six games this season. The Chiefs have six games left before the playoffs begin.
The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 8 Lower Cape May and No. 9 Oakcrest in the quarterfinals on March 3. The semifinals are scheduled for March 5 and the championship game is scheduled for March 8.
The Pirates won seven straight games to open the season, but recently snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over New Egypt.
Cinnaminson has seven games left, but only one on the road, at Willingboro on Feb. 23. Remaining home games include contests against Bordentown, Pennsauken Tech, Holy Cross, Burlington Township, Montgomery, and the regular season finale against Rancocas Valley on Feb. 25.
Cedar Creek has been up and down this season, and had lost two in a row as of Thursday afternoon. It has two regular season games left.
