Police Seek South Jersey Woman On Meth Charges

She skipped her initial court appearance earlier this month, police said.

Kelly A. Asquith, 25, of Mullica Hill, is wanted by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office for failure to appear in Superior Court, Woodbury on June 18 for an initial disposition conference on a charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She is 5’3,” 150 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair. Her image is attached to this post.

She was arrested on June 16, 2017, after a Deptford Township police officer stopped a car in which she was a passenger for making an abrupt u-turn in a store parking lot with a driver who was not wearing a seat belt.
The officer determined that the driver was wanted on an active warrant. The driver, who was not identified, attempted to escape on foot, but was captured, police said.

Police said they found open packages of suboxone in the car, and that Asquith had methamphetamine in her purse. She was indicted by a Gloucester County grand jury on April 4, 2018, on a charge of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
