CINNAMINSON, NJ — Here’s a look at some upcoming events at the Cinnaminson Library from July 15-19, 2019.
Monday, July 15
Make and Take Mondays! Kids ages 4 to 12 are invited to pop into the library at any time on Mondays to create a craft that is out of this world based on our summer theme A Universe of Stories! This week’s theme is Flying Comet Craft- whip up a craft that you can toss and catch. Crafts are available all day, while supplies last.
Tuesday, July 16
Tai Chi, 10:30 a.m. to noon: This is a beginner’s course in Qigong and Tai Chi, slow, gentle forms of exercise that help increase energy, flexibility, balance and body awareness. Those who suffer from bad posture, stiff joints, tension and instability should find the course especially helpful. No special equipment or attire required other than loose-fitting clothing and soft, flat-bottom shoes. This program is for adults only.

Preschool Power Hour, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Avoid the afternoon slump with this awesome program for kids under the age of six featuring stories, music and movement and early literacy activities. Ages 6 and under.
Wednesday, July 17:
Baby and Toddler Time, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: It’s time to shake, rattle, and roll! Babies and toddlers are invited to listen to stories, sing songs, and dance along at Baby and Toddler Time.

Scrabble Club, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Do you love a good game of Scrabble? Look no further. You have found kindred spirits with the new Scrabble Club forming at the Cinnaminson Library. Players of all levels and all ages are welcome to drop in, and we hope, stick around. It's stimulating, educational and most of all, lots of fun!
Upcycled Jewelry Workshop with Terina Nicole, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Join eco-fashion designer Terina Nicole for an upcycled jewelry workshop! Learn to make earrings, bracelets, necklaces and brooches from jean belt loops, toys, bow-ties, broken jewelry pieces and even playing cards for unique, one-of-a-kind statement pieces. Ages 11-18. Registration required.
Thursday, July 18:
Abrakadoodle, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Kids ages 7 – 12 will explore and learn while using their imaginations to create their own framed masterpiece. **Ages 7 – 12 years** (the minimum age is 7 years old, please no exceptions) Registration is required! Please register each child individually.
The Graphic Novel Book Club: Ghosts, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Our ongoing book club is now featuring the works of Raina Telgemeier! This week we'll be discussing Ghosts while we make a craft. Ages 8-12
Positive Psychology Meetup, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Welcome to a new discussion group for anyone interested in topics such as mindfulness, gratitude and happiness. Let's create a community of like-minded individuals who want to learn, laugh, grow, and share their stories of personal growth and the habits and techniques they find helpful.This is an informal gathering to exchange ideas, information, and suggestions for living a life of meaning and purpose. Obstacles come in all shapes and sizes, and having the tools to navigate life’s challenges can be the difference between simply surviving and truly living. Some topics for discussion include: compassion, happiness, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, intention, gratitude, mindset, neuropsychology, stoicism, purpose, problem-solving, optimism, and mind management. Let's encourage and support one another along our journey to become our best selves!

Super Sonic Toddler Dance Party, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Rock out for 30 minutes of guided dancing fun in this high energy, fun program. This month's dance party is space themed! Feel free to dress up! Wear comfy clothes and be ready to have some fun! Registration not required.
Europe Your Way for the Independent Traveler, 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Deb Vanneman and Darryl Stout will help you maximize your enjoyment and minimize your expense for your next travel adventure with their tips for planning a trip to the continent. They will draw from their combined experience of over 900 nights in Europe to answer your questions about transportation, lodging and dining as well as experiencing culture as a local.
