CINNAMINSON, NJ — Here's a look at some upcoming events at the Cinnaminson Library for the week of Dec. 16-21, 2019. Each event's description comes from the library's website. Click the name of each event for more information.

Monday, Dec. 16
Creative Writing Club, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Ready to tell your story? Kids ages 8 to 17 are invited to join us for a new program full of fun writing exercises and challenges. Registration is not required.

Chess Club, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: For chess players of all levels. Beginners are both welcomed and encouraged! We can teach the rules of the game to those who wish to learn. Chess is an excellent way to keep your mind sharp and have fun while doing so. We will provide the boards but feel free to bring your own if you want.

The Mug Life Book Club, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Meet up with library staff at the new Starbucks in Cinnaminson for our book club, The Mug Life. No purchase is necessary.

Tuesday, Dec. 17
Tai Chi, 10:30 a.m. to noon: This is a beginner’s course in Qigong and Tai Chi, slow, gentle forms of exercise that help increase energy, flexibility, balance and body awareness. Those who suffer from bad posture, stiff joints, tension and instability should find the course especially helpful. No special equipment or attire required other than loose-fitting clothing and soft, flat-bottom shoes. This program is for adults only.

Preschool Power Hour, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Avoid the afternoon slump with this awesome program for kids under the age of six featuring stories, music and movement and early literacy activities. Ages 6 and under.

Wednesday, Dec. 18
Baby and Toddler Time, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: It’s time to shake, rattle, and roll! Babies and toddlers are invited to listen to stories, sing songs, and dance along at Baby and Toddler Time.

Scrabble Club, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Do you love a good game of Scrabble? Look no further. You have found kindred spirits. Players of all levels and all ages are welcome to drop in.

The Writers' Critique Group, 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.: Have you always wanted to write and sell a book? Have you started or finished your first draft? Bring along your work-in-progress for a helpful and inspiring group critique.

Thursday, Dec. 19
Flu Shot Clinic, 10:30 a.m. to noon: The Burlington County Health Department's Health Starts Here Initiative & Annual Influenza and Pneumococcal Clinic will be held at the Cinnaminson Library from 10:30 A.M. -- 12:00 P.M. Please bring your insurance card. A $15.00 donation per shot is requested, but not required. There are no reservations; first come, first served!

The Graphic Novel Book Club, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Our graphic novel book club is full of fun! This month we'll be discussing Real Friends by Shannon Hale and LeUyen Pham while we make a craft. Ages 8-12

Friday, Dec. 20
Little Builders, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Come and build at the library! We have several fun STEM kits like Marble Run, Duplos, and more! Registration is not required!

Saturday, Dec. 21
K-POP in Your Area!, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Do you love KPop? We do too! Join us for an afternoon of fun as we discuss our favorite groups, newest videos, and more! Registration is not required.
