Preserving Historic Barn In Cinnaminson Important, Societies Say

Six historical societies asked Committee to implore Wawa to keep a barn believed to have built in 1850 during construction, the Sun reports.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — A Wawa with gas pumps is coming to the corner of Route 130 and Taylors Lane, and while many are excited about the new businesses, one group expressed concerns during this week’s Cinnaminson Committee meeting.

Representatives from six historical societies in the area told the committee they have no problem with a Wawa, but they want to make sure a barn believed to have been built around 1850 is untouched, the Cinnaminson Sun reports.

They asked committee to write to Wawa Board of Directors Chairman Richard Wood to take seriously a plan to redesign the Wawa building so that the barn remains intact, according to the report.
