VIDEO: See Abandoned South Jersey Mall in Viral TikTok Video

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP — A TikTok user named abandonedcentral posted a video which shows what the inside of the defunct Burlington Center Mall looked like before it was torn down.

Stopped escalators and empty stairways are visible in the video, as are a myriad of store fixtures and several wilted plants. It's not clear when the video was taken.

According to the video, the mall opened in 1982 and closed in 2018.Over the years, companies such as retail giant Sears called the Burlington Center Mall home. The mall also hosted many events, including a job fair and student exhibits.

According to the courierpostonline, retail stores and distribution centers will be built on the former Burlington Center Mall site.
