Reminder: New Trash Collection Procedure

REMINDER: Cinnaminson Township New Trash Collection Procedures. The recently delivered trash containers are now being emptied each week by specially outfitted trucks with automated arms which will lift and empty the container and then place it back at the curb. Only trash that is placed inside the new container will be collected. While the new trash container was free of charge, residents may purchase an additional container for $60.00 and can pay by cash or check at the Public Works Department (1601 Union Landing Road), Monday – Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm. Checks may also be mailed to the Public Works Department, but please be sure to include the address of the property where the container is to be delivered. BULK ITEMS which do not fit inside the trash container will be collected the first collection day of the first full collection week of each month. Therefore, 2020 bulk collection for residents on Wednesday collection will be January 8, February 5, March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2. Bulk collection for residents on Thursday collection will be January 9, February 6, March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6, September 3, October 8, November 5 and December 3. Residents whose trash is currently collected on Wednesdays will continue to have their trash collected on Wednesdays. Residents whose trash is currently collected on Thursdays will continue to have their trash collected on Thursdays. Residents whose trash was formerly collected on Fridays now have their trash collected on Thursdays. Residents should place all trash out for collection after 12:00pm the day before your scheduled collection day or prior to 6:30am the day of your scheduled collection day. All emptied containers must be removed from curbside within 12 hours after the end of the collection day. Residents who want their old trash containers to be collected should simply place the EMPTY container beside the new container the regular collection day.
