The newcomers to the political scene revealed a wide-ranging set of policies Tuesday night.

The two newcomers to the Burlington County election scene revealed a wide range of topics they plan to tackle as they pursue two seats on the Burlington County Freeholder Board on Tuesday night, the Burlington County Times reports.
Republicans Kate Gibbs, 29, of Maple Shade, and Ryan Peters, 33, of Hainesport, unveiled a campaign platform that includes challenging underfunded mandates, bringing the county library system up to speed with modern technology, regionalizing county jails, strengthening workforce development, securing funding for Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and converting Virtua Hospital to a VA facility, according to the report.
The VA hospital is an idea being floated by Gibbs and Peters, and has not been discussed at any level of government, according to the report.
