Why are you seeking to run for Congress?

I am running to support Medicare for All. About four years ago, I was troubled over an unusual spot on my head. Fortunately, at the time, I was on Medicaid and was able to get tested without paying an unaffordable deductible. The doctors found cancerous cells and removed them—the ability to get tested early saved my life. Therefore, I am fighting for Medicare for All to provide everyone with preventative care before a disease upends their lives.

What is the most important issue in your district and how do you intend to address it?

The most important issue facing my district is rising prices. I would advocate for the following policies to lower costs:

  • Eliminate taxes on social security. Seniors struggling to pay bills should not be taxed on money that is owed to them.
  • We should raise taxes on corporations who are increasing prices while raking in record profits.
  • Reduce Trump's tariffs to lower prices.
  • Help families afford basic necessities by expanding the Child Tax Credit, which would mean thousands of dollars for the average NJ family.

What other issues do you feel must be tackled in your district?

Climate change is important to everyone in the district and the country.

We must ensure that young people’s lives are better than their parents.

The first step is setting up a new government agency, the “Climate NIH”. The National Institutes of Health get $35 billion for health care research every year, and its innovation has helped America and New Jersey lead the world in healthcare innovation. We should set up a government research agency modeled after the National Institutes of Health that is non-partisan and is focused on one goal: creating innovations that would allow the transition away from fossil fuels.

I believe that all New Jersey residents have a right to clean air and water; therefore, we need to strengthen clean air and clean water regulations and strictly enforce them.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

Unlike Andy Kim, who took millions from corporations, our campaign does not accept money from corporate interests. We are not beholden to corporate special interest groups.

What else would you like to share about yourself or your campaign?
