Rowan College at Burlington County’s (RCBC) Office of Financial Aid’s free workshops designed to help students and their families with understanding, completing, and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) begin Saturday, March 19.
To be qualified for any federal or state aid, as well as a Rowan College at Burlington County Foundation scholarship, a college student must submit the FAFSA.
“I highly encourage all students, their families and community members to take part in these workshops, and apply for federal student aid,” Rowan College at Burlington County President Paul Drayton said. “Our innovative partnership with Rowan University can save students more than $75,000 on a high-quality bachelor's degree and reduce their reliance on debt. Federal aid can provide further assistance, and filling out the FAFSA is one of the requirements to receive need-based assistance from the RCBC Foundation.”

“The financial aid application process can be complicated, that’s why Rowan College at Burlington County’s financial aid experts are hosting the workshops to walk students and their families through the process,” Rowan College at Burlington County Financial Aid Director Jovina Bermudez said. “Financial aid helps make a college education more affordable. In order to receive any federal and state financial aid, including work-study, scholarships, grants and loans, a college student must have a FAFSA on file.”
The workshops are open to students, their families, and the community. Students do not need to be attending RCBC and appointments are not required.
