Rowan College at Burlington County Hosts Weeklong 9/11 Tribute

Rowan College at Burlington County will host a week of events to commemorate the 14th anniversary of 9/11 on the college’s Mt. Laurel Campus from Tuesday, Sept. 8-Friday, Sept. 11.

All week long, RCBC’s Service-Learning students will be hosting a table in Laurel Hall and collecting donations for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in NYC.

They are inviting the college community to place a pinwheel in front of Laurel Hall to help line the walkway, write 9/11 memories in a journaling activity, participate in a video interview, record a good deed to do this year in recognition of 9/11, and send a message on a balloon to remember those whose lives were lost.

Schedule is as follows: Tuesday, Sept. 8: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Wednesday, Sept. 9: 10 a.m. to noon;Thursday, Sept. 10: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; and Friday, Sept. 11: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

On Friday, Sept. 11, the RCBC faculty will lead a ceremony of reflection. The 9/11 Memorial Service will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Enterprise Center Auditorium.
