Rowan College Series Educates Public On Coronavirus
Rowan College at Burlington County will launch a weekly Facebook Live series designed to educate the public on coronavirus.
Rowan College at Burlington County is launching a weekly video series to update the community and provide information about new coronavirus, the college announced.
“These forums will provide a way to gather as a community to address the many concerns we have, while we practice social distancing to help curb the Coronavirus pandemic,” Rowan College at Burlington County President Dr. Michael A. Cioce said. “Our community has many legitimate questions, and we hope to answer as many as possible in this forum. We welcome participation from students, staff and the community at large.”

Cioce will host weekly Facebook Live sessions beginning Wednesday. In this week’s video that will go live at facebook.com/RowanCollegeatBurlingtonCounty at 2 p.m., Dr. Helene Paxton will join him to shed light on this pandemic through the lens of a seasoned epidemiologist.
Paxton teaches Microbiology, and Anatomy and Physiology at the college. For nearly 25 years, Paxton’s company, BioGuidance, has provided consulting to help the healthcare industry prevent infectious diseases. She recently published “Making the Case for a Hands Free, Fogging Disinfectant” on LinkedIn and brings 40+ years of medical experience to the table.

“Our faculty members possess extraordinary expertise, and we’re grateful that they are willing to volunteer their knowledge with the community,” Cioce said.
