Come out to the Fire Department on Broad Street in Palmyra on Saturday, 10/4, for an Open House from 10:00 to 2:00. Sure promises to be a fun-filled day with the Fireman… See their new truck, check out the Pet Emergency Evacuation Trailer, and lots of other hot stuff happening!!!

Remember I was asking everyone for donations for pet crates??? Now’s your chance to see them set up and ready to house pets when emergency services are in place, and their families are sheltered at the Community Center.

“The Office of Emergency Management will unveil the one and only Emergency Pet Evacuation Trailer in all of Burlington County! The mobile trailer will house up to 20 pets and supplies during times of disaster. The Emergency Pet Trailer will compliment emergency services and “people” sheltering at the Community Center during times of disaster — like Hurricane Sandy! The trailer was donated by Seabox of Cinnaminson and is climate controlled and has running water. Much thanks to Tracy Kilmer, Rick Dreby and the Burlington County Office of Emergency Management for all their efforts.”

I’m so excited about the emergency pet trailer, of course! So you know I’ll be there… and am very excited to be participating. Come say hello… and be sure to bring your pet! Pick up some free giveaways and information to help you best prepare for a disaster.
