Sheriff Collecting Toys For Needy At Library, Police Department

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Two locations in Cinnaminson are serving as drop-off locations for the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department’s 22nd annual Toy Drive, Sheriff Jean Stanfield announced on Friday.

Residents and businesses can donate toys for children in need at either the library or the police department anytime through Sunday, Dec. 17.

The library is located at 1619 Riverton Road. The police department is located at 900 Manor Road. There are a total of 49 drop-off locations throughout the county.

“It has been a privilege of mine to host this annual toy drive for the past 22 years,” Stanfield said. “We always receive a wonderful response to the drive. Last year approximately 1,500 toys were collected.”

After the drive, Sheriff’s Officers will gather up the bins and return them to the County Complex. Human Service agencies will then work with the Sheriff’s Department to distribute the donations to local children.

These agencies include the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Oaks Integrated Care, Catholic Charities, Christian Caring Center, Providence House, Sisterhood in Burlington City, Servicios Latinos, Foster and Adoptive Family Services and House of God in Delran.

“The holidays are a special time for everyone and through the generosity of all of our volunteers and the community, we can make it a joyous time for those less fortunate,” Stanfield said. “It has been incredible to witness the county come together year after year and make this all possible.”
