Singleton's 26th Service Project On Martin Luther King Day
Sen. Troy Singleton and a group of volunteers will build furniture and other items for sale at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Jan. 20.

MAPLE SHADE, NJ — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s most persistent and urgent question was, "What are you doing for others?" More than 50 years after his assassination, people across the country continue to show just what they are doing for others.
State Sen. Troy Singleton launched a “Serve With Singleton” series after being elected in 2018. He has participated in 25 service projects in various communities throughout the district in the last two years.
Both traditions will continue on Jan. 20, 2020, when Singleton partners with Habitat for Humanity for a “Building Blitz.” The senator and a group of volunteers will help assemble furniture and other items for sale in the ReStore showrooms at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore located at 530 Route 38 East in Maple Shade, 10 a.m. to noon.

“Over the past two years, we have joined with dozens of volunteers to donate over 1,000 hours to community service projects that benefit residents throughout Burlington County,” Singleton said. “This is our third time returning to Habitat for Humanity to hold a Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Habitat’s mission to provide affordable housing for deserving residents makes it the perfect partner to kick-off our 2020 service events.”
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. Anyone interested in volunteering can sign-up on the Senator’s website: https://www.senatorsingleton.com/habitat_for_humanity_restore_2020.
