Police Identify Man Shot In Burlington County Wednesday Night [UPDATED]

It is believed to be the sixth fatal shooting in the county this year.

A 27-year-old man was shot and killed in an alley in Florence Township Wednesday night, Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Florence Township Police Chief John A. Bunce said.

Police found Ronald Walker, of Florence, on Zinc Street just after 7 p.m. while responding to reports of shots fired on Zinc Street. He was found in an alley that runs between Second and Third streets, police said.

He was taken to Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, where he was pronounced dead at 8:21 p.m.

There have been over three dozen total shootings in the county this year, and this is believed to be the sixth fatal shooting in Burlington County this year, the Burlington County Times reports.

No arrests have been made, and the shooting remains under investigation. An autopsy was to be performed on Thursday.
