'Smash And Grab Burglar' In Burlington County Arrested Quickly: Police

EVESHAM, NJ — A Camden County man was arrested on charges stemming from a "smash and grab" burglary in Evesham, authorities said.

Police responded to a burglar alarm at Kings Grant Wine and Liquors in Evesham shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to authorities. They discovered a smashed glass door and that liquor, cigarettes and lottery tickets were taken, according to authorities.

At about the same time, someone called 911 to report a suspicious vehicle and two suspicious men near the liquor store, authorities said. This caller provided police with the license plate of the suspicious vehicle, authorities said.

At about 5 a.m. on Tuesday, a Gloucester Township police officer pulled over a vehicle with the same license plate the 911 caller provided, according to authorities. Consequently, Marcus Ganz, 43, of Clementon was arrested in connection with the liquor store burglary, according to authorities.

Ganz was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft, authorities said. Ganz was released on his own recognizance pending a mandatory court appearance, authorities said.
