South Jersey Teen Takes Hearse To Prom: What Do You Think?
Megan Flaherty wants to be a funeral director. She incorporated her dream job into her prom entrance, according to published reports.

Megan Flaherty wants to be a funeral director one day. What better way to get ready for her future career than experimenting with her junior prom entrance. Wait, what?
The 17-year-old Pennsauken High School student showed up to her junior prom in the back of a hearse last weekend, according to an Associated Press report posted on burlingtoncountytimes.com. She was lying in a coffin that slid out the back of the car, and then she stood up and went to her prom.
Flaherty said she wanted to have fun with her entrance, and made sure her date was OK with the plan before she followed through with her elaborate entrance, according to the report.

Photographs of her entrance have been shared on social media. Some liked it, joking that she was “drop dead gorgeous.” Others found it offensive.
Her mother, Susan, loved the entrance, according to nj.com. Her family is used to theatrics because they all play in a string band in the Mummers Parade on New Year’s Day. Megan Flaherty’s brother also took a hearse to the prom, but he didn’t get out of the back of the car in a coffin.
