Stanley M. Ellis Named Board of Governors Chair of YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties
The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties announced that Stanley M. Ellis of Riverton has been named Chairman of its Board of Governors.

The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties announced that Stanley M. Ellis of Riverton has been named Chairman of its Board of Governors. Ellis is Vice President of Calkins Media, a privately-held local media company with newspaper, television and digital properties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida and Alabama. He also serves on its Board of Directors.
Ellis has served the Y as a volunteer for decades. Already a member of the Board of Governors, he most recently served on its Executive Committee and chaired the Governance Committee.
“Over the years, Stan has been instrumental in helping the Y expand its programs and services,” said Tim Kerrihard, President and CEO, YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties. “We’re thrilled that Stan is taking on the role of Board Chair as his leadership and knowledge of our region will greatly benefit the Y as we continue to grow and serve more members of the community.”

Ellis assumed the Board of Governors Chair position from Mike Gerber, owner of MGG Paper & Janitorial Supplies & Service. Gerber served as chair for 4 years.
In addition to his work with the Y, Ellis serves on the Boards of Trustees for the American Red Cross of Camden and Burlington Counties, the South Jersey Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and Richard Stockton College in NJ where he served as Chairman from 2010-2012. He is also a member of the Head’s Council at Moorestown Friends School and previously served on the Board of Trustees of The Doane Academy. Ellis is serving his second stint on the Board of the New Jersey Press Association where he serves as President and chairs the Executive Committee. He also serves as Secretary for the Ellis Family Charitable Foundation.
