DELRAN, NJ — A vehicle with three children inside was stolen Tuesday evening from a Delran parking lot, police said. The kids and the SUV later turned up in Cinnaminson, but authorities need help cracking the case.

Delran police reported at 8:22 p.m. to Walgreens on Route 130 for a stolen vehicle. The caller advised law enforcement that he left his car running in the parking lot while he went into the store. His three children — ages 8, 6 and 5 — were inside the vehicle.

Further investigation showed that the suspect — unidentified as of Friday morning — drove away with the green 2010 Nissan Pathfinder with the children inside to the Cinnaminson Motor Lodge motel on Route 130, police said. They had one child exit the vehicle.

Cinnaminson police had received calls beginning at 8:23 p.m. Tuesday for the missing kids. One child was at the Cinnaminson Motor Lodge, while the other two turned up at the township's AT&T store. Cinnaminson EMS checked on the children, who were unhurt and reunited with their parents.
