$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In South Jersey

A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in South Jersey after two $1 million Mega Millions tickets were sold this week.

If you live in South Jersey, you really should be buying lottery tickets. For the third time this week, a lottery ticket purchased in South Jersey hit for $1 million, according to lottery officials.

This time, the ticket was purchased for the Powerball drawing on Wednesday night. It was sold at Rite Aid at 217 Sunset Road in Willingboro, Burlington County.

The winning numbers were 3 21 45 53 56 Powerball 22. The ticket sold in Willingboro matched all five white balls drawn. Had it been played with Power Play, it would have multiplied the prize to $2 million.

The $1 million was the second-tier prize. No one hit for the jackpot, which now climbs to $750 million for the drawing on Saturday night, Oct. 27.

There were also eight New Jersey Lottery tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball for a prize of $50,000. Had those tickets been played with the multiplier, they would’ve been worth $100,000. Those tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • Atlantic County: Shoprite of English Creek, 3003 English Creek Ave., Egg Harbor Twp.;
  • Camden County: 7-Eleven #10924, 721 North Kings Highway, Cherry Hill;
  • Camden County: Ashland Food Market, 10 Burnt Mill Rd., Cherry Hill;
  • Camden County: Kresson News, 1225 Haddonfield Berlin Rd. #3, Voorhees;
  • Essex County: Quick on the Way, 1 Bloomfield Avenue, North Caldwell;
  • Mercer County: Acme #3919, Route 33 & Paxson Ave., Hamilton Square;
  • Passaic County: Krauszer’s #281, 150 7th St., Clifton; and
  • Union County: Dittrick’ Liquors, 2 North Ave., Garwood.

Two $1 million winning tickets were also sold during the recent $1.6 billion Mega Millions drawing. Those tickets were sold at Quick Food Store, 102 North Berlin Road in Lindenwold, Camden County; and at Plaza Liquors, 1450 Clements Bridge Road in Deptford, Gloucester County.
