Toddler Dies After Getting Hit By Car In Burlington Co.

The boy, 3, succumbed to his injuries after getting hospitalized in critical condition. The crash is under investigation.

EVESHAM, NJ — A toddler who was hospitalized after getting hit by a vehicle earlier this week has died, officials said Thursday.

A driver struck the boy, 3, in the roadway on Wednesday afternoon in Evesham, police said. The child, a Lindenwold resident, was hospitalized in critical condition and has succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision.

The crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on Route 73 near Holtec Drive. The driver was traveling south on Route 73 when he hit the child, police said.

The driver stayed at the scene and has cooperated with investigators, police said Wednesday.

Nobody involved has been identified by name.
