'Treecycle' Your Christmas Tree In Cinnaminson + Around The County

Wondering what to do with your live Christmas tree? Read on to find out how to recycle it (and the lights that decorated it, too).

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Wondering where to take your live Christmas tree now that the New Year has arrived? Burlington County has a free "Treecycle" service, and Cinnaminson residents can also put their trees out for curbside collection.

Curbside pickup in Cinnaminson begins the second week of January. Residents may also bring trees to the Municipal Recycling Center (1601 Union Landing Road) on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Information about curbside tree collections is also available on the county’s Recycling Coach app, which can be found on the Apple or Google app stores.

Burlington County Commissioners remind residents they may also bring their real trees to the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex (22000 Burlington-Columbus Road in Florence). There, the trees will be chipped and composted. The free service is offered at the complex Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon.

Artificial, bagged, or flocked trees will not be accepted. Residents must remove all stands, lights, tinsel, wires, ornaments, and garland.
