"We deeply mourn the loss of these residents to COVID-19 and our hearts and prayers are with their loved ones," Wynwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center Administrator Jonathan Gewirtz said. "Since the earliest days, we have been working tirelessly to limit resident and staff exposure to COVID-19 by reinforcing proper hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, cohorting procedures and cleaning protocols. Wynwood was among the first nursing homes in the state to conduct facility-wide testing on April 27, well before universal testing was mandated by the state. We will continue to do everything within our power to safeguard all those in our care."
