Victim ID'd, Killed While Walking On South Jersey Highway

A pedestrian was killed after being struck on a South Jersey highway on Thursday, police said. The man has been identified.

John J. DeVece, 44, of Delran was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a Nissan SUV at about 4:05 p.m. on Route 130 northbound, at Tenby Chase Drive, according to police.

A Willingboro resident who drove the car was not hurt and will not been charged. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene, according to police.

Northbound Route 130 was closed for three hours during the investigation, according to police.
