VIDEO: Cinnaminson Committeeman Takes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Dan Brauckmann took the challenge during the Summer Concert Series Thursday night.

Cinnaminson’s Parks and Recreation Director/Committeeman Dan Brauckmann is the latest to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

The challenge, which began in Boston in July, has taken off and helped raise over $100 million for the ALS Association.

Each person who participates challenges others. Those challenged have 24 hours to post a video of themselves getting dumped with a bucket of ice water or they must donate $100 to research for ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Many who are challenged do both.

“I’m not going to single anyone out,” Brauckmann said. “My challenge for everyone is to do more for others than you do for yourself every day and always pay it forward. There’s many great charities out there.”

Gov. Chris Christie and U.S. Sen. Cory Booker are among those in New Jersey who have taken the challenge.
