Virtua Hospitals Recognized For Maternity Care
Virtua Memorial in Burlington County and Virtua Voorhees have been awarded the Blue Distinction Designation for Maternity Care.

Two of Virtua’s hospitals have been recognized for their maternity care. Virtua Memorial in Burlington County and Virtua Voorhees have been awarded the Blue Distinction Designation for Maternity Care from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, the health system announced on Monday.
The Blue Distinction Specialty Care Program recognizes healthcare facilities that deliver effective, affordable care nationally. Its goal is to help customers find both quality and value for their specialty care needs, and to provide a credible foundation for employers to design benefits tailored to meet their quality and cost objectives.
“Virtua is honored to be recognized with the prestigious Blue Distinction Designation for Maternity Care at both our Mt. Holly and Voorhees hospitals,” Virtua Program Director of Women’s Health Nicole Lamborne, MD, said. “Virtua is a leader in maternal and child health services delivering nearly 8,000 babies a year. Providing quality health care to the mothers and babies of southern New Jersey is our priority and this award is a tribute to the hard work, dedication and expertise of all of Virtua’s maternal-fetal health professionals.”
