​Virtua Health welcomed its first baby of 2021 shortly after midnight on Jan. 1, according to the health system.

Virtua Health welcomed its first baby of 2021 shortly after midnight on Jan. 1, according to the health system.

The first baby born to Virtua Health came at Virtua Voorhees Hospital at 12:05 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2021, according to Virtua officials. Aniela, which means gracious and merciful, weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces at birth.

Her parents Kirsten and Pablo, of Clementon, said they are delighted to welcome their third child at the dawn of a new year. Aniela has a six-year-old big brother and a two-year-old big sister.

The first baby born in Burlington County arrived at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly at 4:09 p.m. the same day. Baby boy Demir weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and is 21 inches long. His mother Hulya and father Timucin said they are delighted to welcome their second child at the dawn of a new year. Demir has a three-year-old sister Vera who was also born at Virtua Memorial. The family lives in Mount Laurel.
