Virtual Women Of Burlington County Awards Set For Monday
The annual Outstanding Women of Burlington County awards ceremony originally scheduled for March 30 has been rescheduled for Monday night.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — The annual Outstanding Women of Burlington County awards ceremony originally scheduled for March 30 has been rescheduled for Monday night, county officials announced. It will stream virtually on the Burlington County Women Facebook page amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“It is such honor to recognize the outstanding women in Burlington County that contribute so much to our community,” Burlington County Freeholder Felicia Hopson said. “We are more excited than ever this year to recognize the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, allowing women to vote.”
Each year, the Burlington County Women’s Advisory Council and the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders host an awards reception honoring women who have made a difference in the Burlington County community.

The council annually honors women who have made significant contributions and demonstrated their support of other women. They may have acted as mentors, role models, or advocates for other women. The winners have been chosen from several areas of exceptional service.

- Kristan Hoffman- Volunteerism;
- Nicole Gillespie- Corporate Leadership;
- Sherry Knight- Education;
- Doan Tucker- Community Service;
- Shenee Omuso- Diversity/Inclusion;
- Grace Harsche- Alice Paul Champion Award;
- Ann Marie Bangura- Celeste Arties Memorial Award; and
- Athira Arayath- Elizabeth Coleman White STEM Award
