What's Happening At The Cinnaminson Library: July 8-12, 2019
Here's a look at some upcoming events at the Cinnaminson Library.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The following events will take place at the Cinnaminson Library the week of July 8-12:
Monday, July 8:
Make and Take Mondays!: Kids ages 4 to 12 are invited to pop into the library at any time on Mondays to create a craft that is out of this world based on our summer theme A Universe of Stories! This week’s event is Astronaut Helmet- create a wearable mask from a paper plate and your imagination!
Little Builders, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Come and build at the library! We have several fun STEM kits like Marble Run, Duplos, and more! Registration is not required!

The Happy Bookers, 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.: The Happy Bookers meet the 1st Monday of alternating months from 7-8 pm. The book for July is Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate. New members are always welcome.
Tuesday, July 9:
Tai Chi, 10:30 a.m. to noon: This is a beginner’s course in Qigong and Tai Chi, slow, gentle forms of exercise that help increase energy, flexibility, balance and body awareness. Those who suffer from bad posture, stiff joints, tension and instability should find the course especially helpful. No special equipment or attire required other than loose-fitting clothing and soft, flat-bottom shoes. This program is for adults only.

Summer Cook Camp: Mains, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: This summer, join us each month to learn simple, no-oven-needed recipes you can make at home. Today we'll make gourmet grilled cheese. Nutritional information will be made available, please inform instructor of any food allergies prior to class. For ages 11-18.
IPhone & IPad Workshop, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.:
Learn how to use your IPhone or IPad in this fun, informal workshop. Bring the following to the Cinnaminson Library:
- your fully charged IPhone or IPad
- your Apple (ITunes) user name and password (write them down)
- your questions
- paper and pen to take notes (until you fall in love with your notes app)
This is a no judgment zone!
Wednesday, July 10:
Cosmic Thing Storytime, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Kids ages 6 and under are invited to join us for stories, songs, games and a simple craft. Registration is not required.
Scrabble Club, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Do you love a good game of Scrabble? Look no further. You have found kindred spirits with the new Scrabble Club forming at the Cinnaminson Library. Players of all levels and all ages are welcome to drop in, and we hope, stick around. It's stimulating, educational and most of all, lots of fun!
Astrology 101, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.: What does your sign say about you? What do the planets have to do with personalities and moods? Is everything already written in the stars? Learn about birth charts, your zodiac sign and make zodiac shrinky dinks into magnets, keychains, or jewelry. For teens ages 13-18. Registration is not required.
Thursday, July 11:
Chocolate & Canvas, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: We have chocolate! We have canvases! Put them together for a fun afternoon of painting. The library will furnish all the painting supplies you'll need. There is no formal instruction for this class, and no experience is needed. Create an acrylic painting of your own design or use one of our pictures as inspiration.
Cursive Class, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Have you ever wanted to sign your name in a fancy script? Read older documents (like the Declaration of Independence)? Write messages to your friends that other people can't read? It's time to learn cursive writing! Come in and learn cursive lettering and practice in fun ways at the library with Miss Kristie. Best for ages 7 and up.

Friday, July 12:
Parachute Play, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Pop into the library for some fun play with the parachute. Dress comfortably for 35 minutes of fun songs and movement!
Anime Club, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Love anime, manga and graphic novels? We do too! Teens ages 13 - 18 are invited to our monthly Anime Club. Join us this July when we will discuss the new Fruits Basket, and work on other projects.
The Writer's Clinic, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: If you need help with writing tasks like:
- Resumes
- Cover Letters
- Filling out Forms (except for legal, financial and tax documents)
- Writing Projects (i.e. toasts, speeches, reports, essays, etc.)
- College Papers
- Letters
