CINNAMINSON, NJ - Here’s a look at some events that will take place at the Cinnaminson Library next week:
Tuesday, June 18:
Tai Chi, 10:30 a.m. to noon: This is a beginner’s course in Qigong and Tai Chi, slow, gentle forms of exercise that help increase energy, flexibility, balance and body awareness. Those who suffer from bad posture, stiff joints, tension and instability should find the course especially helpful. No special equipment or attire required other than loose-fitting clothing and soft, flat-bottom shoes. This program is for adults only.

NJ Comfort Partners Program, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Learn about no cost energy efficient home improvements for income eligible NJ gas and electric customers that help reduce energy usage and save money. The presentation includes the introduction and explanation of the program, guidelines and eligibility, services offered and what customers may receive, and the enrollment and application process. There will be a Q & A session after the presentation. If you are interested, you will be able to sign up on site.
Wednesday, June 19:
Baby and Toddler Time, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: It’s time to shake, rattle, and roll! Babies and toddlers are invited to listen to stories, sing songs, and dance along at Baby and Toddler Time.

Scrabble Club, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Do you love a good game of Scrabble? Look no further. You have found kindred spirits with the new Scrabble Club forming at the Cinnaminson Library. Players of all levels and all ages are welcome to drop in, and we hope, stick around. It's stimulating, educational and most of all, lots of fun!
Thursday, June 20:
Cursive Class, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Have you ever wanted to sign your name in a fancy script? Read older documents (like the Declaration of Independence)? Write messages to your friends that other people can't read? It's time to learn cursive writing! Come in and learn cursive lettering and practice in fun ways at the library with Miss Kristie. Best for ages 7 and up.
Positive Psychology Meetup, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Welcome to a new discussion group for anyone interested in topics such as mindfulness, gratitude and happiness. Let's create a community of like-minded individuals who want to learn, laugh, grow, and share their stories of personal growth and the habits and techniques they find helpful.This is an informal gathering to exchange ideas, information, and suggestions for living a life of meaning and purpose. Obstacles come in all shapes and sizes, and having the tools to navigate life’s challenges can be the difference between simply surviving and truly living. Some topics for discussion include: compassion, happiness, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, intention, gratitude, mindset, neuropsychology, stoicism, purpose, problem-solving, optimism, and mind management. Let's encourage and support one another along our journey to become our best selves.
Friday, June 21:
Parachute Play, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.:
Pop into the library for some fun play with the parachute. Dress comfortably for 35 minutes of fun songs and movement. Recommended for ages 5 and under. Registration is not required.
