Woman Beat Mother To Death Inside Burlington Co. Home: Prosecutor

The suspect was temporarily staying at her mother's home, authorities said.

WILLINGBORO, NJ — A woman was charged with murder after authorities say she beat her mother to death Monday inside the victim's Willingboro home.

Breanna Beacham, 32, was temporarily staying at her mother's home on Hopewell Lane. Police were called there at 4 p.m. Monday for a reported assault in progress.

Arriving officers found the body of Beacham's mother, Kim Beacham-Hanson. Investigators determined that Beacham-Hanson's death was a homicide caused by multiple blunt injuries, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.

The victim was 57.

Beacham was arrested early Monday evening. She was charged with murder (first-degree), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (third-degree) and unlawful possession of a weapon (fourth-degree).

The motive for the attack remains under investigation as of Tuesday.

Beacham will remain in the Burlington County Jail, pending a detention hearing.
