Woman Died Of Heroin Overdose, Dealer Charged: Police
A Pemberton woman has been charged in the overdose death of a woman she is accused of selling fentanyl-laced heroin to.

A Burlington County woman is being held accountable for the death of a 26-year-old woman authorities say she sold fentanyl-laced heroin to last year. A family member found the victim dead in her home on May 30, 2017.
The cause of death was ruled to be due to heroin and fentanyl toxicity. Shannon McGuigan, 32, of Pemberton, is accused of selling the drugs to the woman shortly before she died, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Pemberton Township Police Chief David Jantas announced on Monday.
McGuigan was charged with one count of first-degree strict liability for drug-induced death and third-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. She was arrested at her home on Friday night. During the arrest, Pemberton police said they found her in possession of cocaine. As a result, she was additionally charged with third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
