• Orange, East Orange Police Will Run DUI Checkpoints Ahead Of Labor Day Holiday (patch.com) — Police in Orange and East Orange will run DUI patrols and checkpoints from Aug. 19 to Sept. 7 as part of New Jersey's "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. Local drivers in the City of Orange should expect highly visible enforcement and thousands of summonses statewide, aimed at deterring impaired driving and keeping neighborhood roads safer during the Labor Day period.
   

• UPDATE: Orange NJ Man Rams State Police Vehicle, Crashes Into Cars During Newark Pursuit (rlsmedia.com) — A 26-year-old man from Orange was arrested after allegedly ramming a New Jersey State Police vehicle, fleeing along West Market Street in Newark, and crashing into several cars before being caught on foot. City of Orange residents should know he faces multiple assault, eluding, and drug distribution charges, though all remain accusations while the investigation continues.
