1 Car Stolen, Multiple Cars Burglarized In Clark

One car was stolen and multiple cars were burglarized while parked in Clark, police reported last week.

CLARK, NJ — One car was stolen and multiple cars were burglarized while parked in Clark, police reported last week.

A car was reported stolen on May 16 at 5:52 a.m. while parked at a home on Fairview Road.

Several burglaries to cars were also reported on May 20 at 1:59 p.m. to cars parked on Westfield Avenue.

The owner of a car parked at a home on Meadow Road also reported on May 22 at 8:08 a.m. a theft. All of the incidents are under investigation.

On May 16 at 12:14 a.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Jason Cunha, 21, of Rahway for possession of controlled dangerous substance. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Offiver Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.

On May 16 at 1:48 p.m.: At 76 Central Ave., police arrested Tenille Audain, 31, of Irvington for shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael Somma was the arresting officer.

On May 16 at 7:33 p.m.: In the vicinity of Acorn Drive, police arrested Nicholas Tanzola, 36, of Colonia for driving while intoxicated. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Michael Hernandez was the arresting officer.

On May 16 at 8:58 p.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at 1300 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Brad Dustin was the investigating officer.

On May 17 at 2:30 p.m.: At 76 Central Ave. police arrested Nancy Chen, 31, of Edison for shoplifting merchandise, valued at $292.51, from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael Somma was the arresting officer.

On May 18 at 7:59 p.m.: Police arrested Raymond Sanchez, 27, at his Rahway home for shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. He was also charged with simple assault and subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Sgt. Kevin Shackleton was the arresting officer.

On May 19 at 10:42 a.m.: In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Enrico Crocker, 53, of Orange for possession of controlled dangerous substance and for producing a fictitious insurance card. He was also detained on an outstanding warrant from Irvington in the amount of $200 for contempt of court. He was released on the Clark charges pending a court date and subsequently turned over to the Irvington Police Department. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.

On May 20 at 6:25 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a wallet from an unattended purse in a shopping cart at the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the investigating officer.

On May 21 at 3:56 p.m.: Police took a report of a stolen cell phone from the locker room at L.A. Fitness at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the investigating officer.
