1 Case Of Hate, Anti-Semitism Reported In Clark In 2019

In 2019, there were 216 incidents of hate, extremism and anti-Semitism reported in New Jersey - one case was in Clark.

CLARK, NJ — One incident of hate, extremism and anti-Semitism was reported in Clark in 2019, according to a new report by the Anti-Defamation League. No incidents were reported in Garwood.

In 2019, there were 216 incidents reported in 112 towns in New Jersey, which decreased from the 452 incidents reported in New Jersey during 2018. But the incidents were no less concerning, the report says.

  • June 1, 2019: New Jersey European Heritage Association, an alt right group, distributed fliers that read: "Blood & Soil," "Love your race," "Mass immigration is white genocide," "They have to go back," and "Western civilization is white civilization."

The Anti-Defamation League tracks the incidents through news and media reports, government documents (including police reports), victim reports, extremist-related sources and the Center on Extremism investigations, according to a "Frequently Asked Questions" section on the ADL's website.
