2 Burglars Wanted For Trying To Break Into Garwood Home
Garwood Police are asking the public for help to find the two people who were wearing dark-colored pants and hoodies.
GARWOOD, NJ — Garwood Police are asking the public for help after two people were caught in the act while trying to break into a borough home on Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday at 1:54 a.m., a security alarm for a home on the 200 Block of Spruce Avenue was set off.
Garwood Police Officers went to investigate and found two people trying to break into a basement window at the back of the home, said Det. Captain Douglas Stoffer.

The two people ran away with police officers chasing them. The alleged burglars were able to get away, said Stoffer.
Both of the people were wearing dark-colored pants and hoodies. No further description is available.

The people did not get into the home and no other incidents of burglaries or attempted burglaries were reported in the area.
The Garwood Police Department is requesting anyone with information that can further this
ongoing investigation to notify Detective Captain Douglas Stoffer at 908-789-1500.
