2 Clark Locals Arrested On Charges Including Shoplifting

Clark Police reported making 2 shoplifting, 2 receiving stolen property, 1 drug possession and 1 warrant arrest last week.

CLARK, NJ — Two Clark locals were arrested in the township on charges including shoplifting and receiving stolen property, according to the police blotter.

On Sept. 11 at 12:21 a.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Anthony Goncalves, 20, of Clark for shoplifting from the QuickChek grocery store at 186 Westfield Ave. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael Hernandez was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 11 at 4 p.m.: Police arrested Matthew Rodriguez, 18, of Clark for receiving stolen property. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Detective Bruce McDonald was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 11 at 7:24 a.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief and subsequent theft of items from a motor vehicle that was parked on Fulton Street. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Sergio D’Andrea was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 11 at 12:20 p.m.: Police arrested Andrea Brennan, 43, of Westfield for shoplifting merchandise valued at $114.42 from the Whole Foods supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Sergio D’Andrea was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 12 at 2:24 a.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Icxandro Santiago, 37, of Irvington for receiving stolen property. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael DeAngelo was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 14 at 1:51 a.m.: In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Michael Lynch, 39, of Rahway for possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and CDS paraphernalia. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 14 at 9:59 a.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a wallet from a purse that was in the shopping cart of a patron of the Home Goods Store at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Anthony Salas was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 14 at 9:40 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Leon Graves, 31, of Newark on an outstanding warrant from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court. He was subsequently transported to the Essex County Jail. Police Officer Brandon Pitts was the arresting officer.
