5 Drug, 2 DUI Arrests Made In Clark

Criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Plymouth Road was also reported.

CLARK, NJ — Clark Police reported making five drug possession and two driving under the influence arrests last week.

Clark Police blotter:

On Oct. 10 at 9:32 p.m.: In the vicinity of 45 Central Ave., police arrested John Cruz, 31, of Scotch Plains for possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and CDS paraphernalia. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Oct. 12 at 9:10 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Jalen Dawkins, 20, of Orange for possession of CDS. He was also detained on an outstanding no bail warrant from Lawrenceville for contempt of court. He was released on the Clark charge pending a court date and subsequently turned over to the Lawrenceville Police Department on their warrant. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the arresting officer.

On Oct. 12 at 11:01 p.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Plymouth Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Michael Hernandez was the investigating officer.

On Oct. 13 at 3:12 a.m.: In the vicinity of Central Avenue, police arrested Darwin Cruz, 24, of Bayonne for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Sgt. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

On Oct. 14 at 12:26 a.m.: In the vicinity of Valley Road, police arrested Dajon Hayes, 25, of Newark for possession of CDS. Hayes was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending court dates. Sgt. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

On Oct. 14 at 3:21 a.m.: In the vicinity of Lake Avenue, police arrested Ann Ramirez, 29, of Scotch Plains for DUI. She was subsequently released pending a court date. Sgt. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.
