9 Charged With Shoplifting In Clark: Police
Clark Police also reported burglaries to cars and a home last week.
CLARK, NJ — Clark Police report charging nine people with shoplifting a stores in town, according to the police blotter.
Clark Police blotter:
On Aug. 5 at 12:52 p.m.: In the vicinity of Peter Circle, police arrested Prince Smith, 34, of Roselle for shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 5 at 12:57 p.m.: Police arrested Gregg Rood, 57, of Westfield for shoplifting from the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Det. Sgt. Chris Lott was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 5 at 3:51 p.m.: Police arrested Kimberly Matthews, 32, of Roselle, Sadiyyah Roberts, 29, of Newark, and Kyle Brummer, 31, of Edison for shoplifting merchandise valued at $580 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Ave. Matthews was also charged with hindering apprehension, and she was detained on outstanding warrants totaling $3,250 from East Brunswick, Edison, Linden and South Plainfield for contempt of court. She was released on the Clark charges pending a court date and subsequently turned over to the Edison Police Department. Brummer was also charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) and subsequently released pending a court date. Roberts was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Mark Detore and Police Officer Paul Sosnowski were the arresting officers.

On Aug. 7 at 5:54 a.m.: Police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Nassau Street. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Tom Gucwa was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 7 at 4:55 p.m.: Police arrested Eileen Gargiles, 50, of Cranford for shoplifting merchandise valued at $85.42 from the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Mazhar Elwardany was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 7 at 11:01 a.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Labasia McBride, 29, of Brooklyn, New York for shoplifting from the Marshall’s Department Store at 77 Central Ave. She was subsequently released pending a court date. Det. Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 8 at 5:15 p.m.: Police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Blake Drive. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the
investigating officer.
On Aug. 8 at 7:39 p.m.: Police arrested Ferima Nealy, 38, of Neptune and Channel Cutler, 25, of Long Branch for shoplifting merchandise valued at $431.95 from the Marshall’s Department Store at 77 Central Ave. Both individuals were subsequently released pending court dates. Police Officer Anthony Salas was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 9 at 8:25 p.m.: Police arrested Zakkiyah Evans, 32, of Newark for shoplifting merchandise valued at $213.86 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Ave. She was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Anthony Salas was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 10 at 5:02 a.m.: In the vicinity of Valley Road, police arrested Tajmir Jackson, 24, of Somerville for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Brad Dustin was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 11 at 3:36 p.m.: Police took a report of a burglary to a residence on Sweet Briar Drive. The
incident is under investigation. Police Officer Christopher Tuccio was the investigating officer.
