9-Year-Old Injured In Hit-And-Run In Union County
A 9-year-old child was crossing the street on a bike when they were hit by a vehicle in Elizabeth on Monday night.
ELIZABETH, NJ — A 9-year-old child was crossing the street on a bike when they were hit by a car in a hit-and-run crash in Elizabeth on Monday night.
The juvenile was crossing Rahway Avenue and South Street around 8 p.m. on a bicycle when the child was hit by a white Honda Accord with Connecticut license plates, according to Elizabeth Spokeswoman Kelly Martins.
The child was treated at the scene with an abrasion to the chin. The dad said he would take the child to the hospital at a later time if needed.

The juvenile was able to take a picture of the license plate. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
