CLARK, NJ — Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark was placed in a shelter-in-place while school staff investigated a threat on Friday.
The shelter-in-place was issued around 1 p.m, "as we investigate a threat that at this time remains unsubstantiated," according to a statement from Clark Public Schools and Clark Township Police Department.
"Please know that the safety of our students is paramount," according to the statement.
The shelter-in-place was later lifted around 2:25 p.m.
Normal dismissal procedures are in place, and all after-school events are on as scheduled, said Clark Police in an alert.
